Great comments. In Cuba Castro said Socialism or death, but in fact it is Socialism IS Death. Examples of socialist governments include North Korea, Cambodia, Albania, etc. I fail to see that as a model to follow. In addition, after correctly showing anger at the auto makers going to Washington in private jets, comes news the socialist Pelosi is now buying a bigger and brand new private jet AT TAXPAYER EXPENSE. Time for the socialists to start their purges? Afterall, a hall mark of socialism is the revolution devours its children. he he he.

Well, it seems that I correctly posited the formation of the United Socialist States of America... perhaps a healthy dose of Constitution-backed revolution is in order?

Should recipients of taxpayer favors continue to send jobs offshore?

Where is the common sense?

You RRW twit. You, and the rest of us, wouldn't be enjoying this economic melt-down if you, and your ilk, had any connection - however tenuous - with reality. Tragically, you don't have such a connection. All you have is greed. And stupidity. Greed is one of the Seven Deadly Sins for a reason.

The root cause of this debacle is American neo-con and religious fundamentalist "policy" and "thinking". Why are you supporting a demonstrably bankrupt, failed and really stupid programme?

Reality - deal with it dudette.

Oh yeah RRW is a short form for Rabid Right Wing. See Karl Rove (busted and in jail) et. al. for details.

Congratulations, your no better than any other disgusting, lying conservative mouthpiece. You pick and choose which parts of the stimulus plan you don't like, reinterpret them into something completely bogus, then get online and spew your crap into the minds of the weak. You sir, disgust me.

OK..now that the Presidential State of the Union address is over....what now? We heard a lot of promises, a whole lot of hype and a minimal operating plan. It's not that I don't like President Obama, it's that I don't trust the people he is depending on. All that was mentioned was the economic crisis...what about moral issues...oh that's right Iraq is a moral issue...LOL...how about the government monitoring the state legislature for corruption and misuse of funds. How is the President going to keep mayors accountable but the governers get away with what they want. The changes in NY that are coming are an abomination...closure of hospitals, closure of nursing homes...just to name a couple. How about the high taxes that seem to go nowhere...how about the overall disregard for Long Island....keep it coming Mr. President...you keep talking about history...remember history repeats itself...all great empires (Roman, Greek, Persian...) fell once morality was placed at the waste side, yet their economic status was intact. Remember who put you there...Cliff, keep the "on your toes" wording coming....

The stimulus reminds me of that old Dire Straites song, Money for nothing.
We could modify the words to sing "get your money for nothing and your pork for free." Wake up America!
